Equestrian Celebrities And Horses In Central Birmingham
It is not everyday world-class riders and horses are seen in the centre of Birmingham! To celebrate Birmingham hosting the 2007 British Open for the very first time at the NEC in April, a media call in Centenary Square on Tuesday 13th February will give journalists and photographers the opportunity to discover the unique line up for this year’s spectacular event.
Some of the best equestrian competitors in the country will join reigning British Open Champion, Robert Smith (who this year goes for his third consecutive Championship), to pose for pictures and answer questions regarding the upcoming event. A selection of their horses will also take part in this unique photo opportunity using the monumental Birmingham backdrop of the Square’s surroundings.
The British Open features a fast moving programme including a variety of competitions and displays over the four days (12-15 April) and participants from the world of Show Jumping, Eventing, Polo, Scurry Racing, Dressage and Equestrian Vaulting, will all be present at the photo call dressed in their discipline’s uniforms, alongside their horses and a six foot British Open show jump, in order to create a spectacular visual.
